A new Local Plan for the three Authorities of Preston, South Ribble and Chorley is being prepared to cover the period to 2041. We believe elements of the plan have the potential to do irreparable damage to parts of South Ribble Borough.
South Ribble Borough Conservative Councillors unanimously opposed the plans, but unfortunately local Labour and Lib Dem Councillors voted to send the plans forward. A formal consultation is due to begin on the 10th February 2025, but in the meantime, the plans can be viewed by clicking here.
